Bring in your used books and paper ephemera to either Isle of Books location any time we’re open.
We Offer:
- $2.00 store credit for most books
- $1.00 store credit for kids’ books.
- We also accept used records, CDs, DVDs, games, puzzles, plants, cool rocks, autographs, eggs, and you. Oh and pies, we’ll definitely take pies.
Store Credit Details:
- We track credit in our system – no need to keep track yourself, just tell us your name at checkout.
- Credit never expires
- Can be shared!
- Can be used toward any purchase in the store
- Credit covers:
- 50% of used book purchases
- 25% of new book purchases
Donation Guidelines:
- Please limit donations to four or fewer boxes at a time, if possible. If not, just let us know in advance and we will try our best to be accommodating.
- If bringing in large quantities, please use boxes or bags you don’t need back – this helps us process your books more efficiently.
Our “No Trash” Policy:
- If we can’t use a book, we will donate it to one of our partner organizations or recycle it, depending on condition. Currently Isle of Books donates books to numerous libraries (large and little free,) emergency shelters and food banks throughout the state
- If we can help it, we will not send your book to the landfill.
Moving Away?
- Isle of books is happy to donate credit to your favorite school, organization or institution. We’ll even make them an account if they don’t have one!
Consignment Policy:
- Isle of books is happy to sell books valued by us at more than $200
- You get 50% of the sale price.
- We keep 50%.
- If we sell your book online, we subtract shipping and fees before splitting the money. Just a warning, Amazon and Abebooks take about 35% of proceeds.
- If your books don’t sell after 2 years, or you want them back sooner, just let us know.
Valuation and Book Repair: - We’re happy to value your vintage and antiquarian books free of charge. To set up an appointment, please email isleofbooks@outlook.com or text 406-274-0102.
- We also offer free advice and minor repairs for damaged books although we are currently unable to undertake any major repairs.
Need Donated Books ? - Isle of Books is happy to donate books or credit to any organization in need. Please contact us at isleofbooks@outlook.com to organize.
