    Montana PBS at Isle of Books — Share Your Story
    Join Montana PBS at Isle of Books in Bozeman on Thursday, September 4th from 5:30–7:30 PM for a fun and community-focused evening. PBS leadership and staff will be on hand as their friendly camera crew records your story about what Montana PBS means to you. Testimonials may be featured on air or social media as part of the “Bridging the Gap” campaign, helping to safeguard the future of public television in Montana. Guests can enjoy refreshments, conversation, and take home special PBS swag — including a brand-new Montana PBS tote bag designed by Barbara Schelling — as thanks for participating.

    Join us for a special event with Brian Hester, co-author of a powerful new novel about Maya Jones, a young woman from North Carolina whose journey into fly fishing becomes a story of resilience, belonging, and hope. Guided by her mentor, Ed Myers, Maya learns to face prejudice, hardship, and loss with courage while discovering strength, love, and purpose along the way.

    Brian Hester, a lifelong fly fisherman and artist, collaborated with storyteller Barbara Beam — songwriter, screenwriter, and novelist — to bring Maya’s journey to life.
